Key Changes Made to the RA Law “On Foreigners” in 2026

The legal regulations governing the entry, residence, and employment of foreign nationals in the Republic of Armenia have undergone significant changes. Under the new edition of the RA Law “On Foreigners,” the types of residence statuses, application procedures, and regulations governing labor migration have been revised, while a number of new obligations have also been introduced.

Below, we present a brief summary of the key amendments to the law, which are of particular importance both for foreign nationals and for employers hiring them, as well as for organizations operating in Armenia.
